Hello there,

We are pleased to invite current members of Denver Sister Cities International to participate in a new daytime workshop designed to help our committees strengthen how we communicate, share events, and tell the story of our international partnerships.

DSCI Communications Workshop: Helping Our Committees Tell Their Story

Date: Saturday, April 25

Time: 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM (including working lunch)

Format: Hands-on workshop (please bring your laptop)

Lunch: Included

Location: Geotech Environmental Equipment, Inc.  2650 E 40th Ave, Denver, CO 80205

RSVP by Wednesday, April 22, 2026

This practical session is intended for committee leaders, active members, and anyone involved in organizing programs, exchanges, or events who would like to better understand how DSCI uses content, imagery, email communication, and publishing tools.

During the workshop, we will explore:

  • how to write stronger event stories and announcements
  • how often committees should communicate
  • what kinds of photos best support our work
  • how DSCI’s publishing process works
  • how content can be submitted for publication
  • how our email lists are organized and used
  • simple digital tools that can help committees communicate more effectively

We will also work in pairs so members can support one another during the session, making this a practical and collaborative learning experience.

We strongly encourage every committee leader to attend and ask that each active committee also send at least one additional member. Having both leadership and committee participation in the room will help us build a shared communications approach across DSCI and ensure that each committee can more easily contribute content going forward.

This workshop will also serve as the onboarding step for members who wish to use DSCI communications tools, submission workflows, and shared marketing assets in the future. Establishing a common understanding of content standards and publishing practices will help us support all committees more effectively.

Because this workshop will focus on tools and communications available to our organization, participation is limited to active DSCI members. Please take a moment to confirm that your membership is current before attending.

If you would like to attend, please reply to this email so we can finalize seating and lunch arrangements.

This workshop is part of DSCI’s effort to strengthen shared committee practices and support stronger communication across the organization.

We are grateful to Geotech Environmental Equipment for generously sponsoring the location for this workshop and helping support this learning opportunity for DSCI members.

We hope you will join us.

Warm regards,

Cherish Edwards
