Denver Sister Cities International Resolution

In alignment with our mission to enhance engagement in global learning and cultural understanding, the Youth Advisory Committee, along with several City Committees of Denver Sister Cities International (DSCI), recommends that the DSCI Board of Directors formally adopt the following resolution:

Henceforth, all DSCI youth programs and exchanges, including those conducted by its City Committees, shall ensure that at least twenty percent (20%) of participants are from disadvantaged or low-income backgrounds. Furthermore, when significant costs, such as transportation, are incurred by participants, DSCI will cover these expenses for the selected disadvantaged youth. This financial support will be offered through scholarships, which will primarily be funded by new fundraising initiatives. All funds raised for this purpose will be allocated to specially designated, restricted accounts managed by DSCI and its City Committees.
