Denver Sister Cities International is delighted to invite the community to our Chinese New Year Celebration & Banquet 2026, hosted by the Kunming Committee, on Saturday, February 14, 2026, from 4:30 to 8:00 PM.
This annual celebration welcomes the Year of the Horse with an evening centered on cultural tradition, community connection, and shared celebration. Friends, families, and supporters will come together to honor the long-standing sister city relationship between Denver and Kunming, China, one of Denver’s oldest and most meaningful international partnerships.
An Evening of Culture, Tradition, and Community
Guests will enjoy a festive program that reflects the richness of Chinese culture, including traditional performances and a shared dining experience designed to bring people together. The evening will feature a 10-course banquet, offering a memorable culinary journey that celebrates the Lunar New Year in both spirit and tradition.
Beyond the celebration itself, the event serves a deeper purpose. Proceeds support the Kunming Committee’s mission to foster international friendship, cultural exchange, and mutual understanding through education, people-to-people connections, and community engagement.
